It's been a while....Update (this is random)

Wow has it been some time since I've blogged. In all honesty I haven't felt the urge for a few reasons. 1) My life just isn't that exciting--but It's definately not boring. 2) I reluctantly joined facebook. 3) There are no more reasons for why I have not blogged.
But in this month and a half I have done alot. Some people couldn't care less. Some things I'll share. Some of these things are what's gone on, some are newbies to my life, some just fact.
I've been really into hobbies/doing things for/with myself lately. It was really a new years resolution which I never make, but also so that I can get out there and do sorts of things I have always wanted to. So far I've only gotten 2-3 things done out of 5-6.
* Not to spend any money at Starbucks whatsoever.---Successfull so far.
I'm all about supporting local businesses and well, I thought this would be an interesting task to take.
* Go to a movie theater by myself-I'll soon try a nice restaurant by myself.--I did this and saw "Bride Wars" which was actually pretty funny, though I felt funny laughing by myself. When I text my sister to tell her I did this she told me she had done the same thing that day (for the second time). I thought this was weird.
* Not eat fast food. --I was successful up to about 2 weeks ago. Since then I've eaten it 2 1/2 times :) I think it's very bad for you but I love it just the same.
* Take flying lessons--will soon do
* Take Violin lessons.--also will do very soon.
* Support local businesses/restaurants.--I've been very successful, though I dont like the taste of Dutch Bro's as much as their arch enemy, it's still worth it and much cheaper.
* Take up hobbies.--This also inclues working out hobbies. Me and Jonathan have started lap swimming. Are thinking about doing Takwondo. I've been Playing Volleyball with my coworkers (all girls team) We just ended the season yesterday and came out 7 and 3. We did very well for never practicing or playing together. We had a blast and laughed alot.
*Also, this month is one year that we've had a Bunko team w/ the same bunch of girls. These are all Christian ladies and are so much fun. We laugh and have such a good time. As well as eat amazing food/dessert.
* We have switched churches and have settled on one. We love it so much. We know God has us there (until he tells us otherwise). The teachings are very good and Christ centered. We also already know about 10-15 people who go there and have fellowshiped w/ them for many years. It's right down the street from our house too. We like this part.
* 2 weeks ago Jonathan's dad turned 65 and took us along w/ his mom, sis and bro to the Air and Space Museum in McMinville. There lies the "Spruce Goose" plane that is 319 feet wide and 218 feet long. Some would say it's as big as a football field is wide. I highly recommend this and especially for the kids.
* Me and Sharon (my mother in law) took a bread baking class. The first week (friday/saturday) we made and prepared 5 different loves of white/whole wheat breads. The following week we prepared and baked bread sticks, pizza dough, 2 types of ww crackers, flat breads, etc. We split this up and took it home to share w/ our families. Very good stuff and we learned so much about different techniches and ingredients.
We took this through the OSU extention service. I also highly recommend doing this sometime. There is a Mexican cooking class we will hopefully take in May :)
* I took my Best Friend Lindsey to See "Wicked" the off broadway play that came to PDX this past weekend. It was my second time and Lindsey's first. I stayed w/ her from Saturday to Sunday. It was her birthday weekend so we ate lots of good home cooking from her mom and dad, watched a couple movies, went shopping in Woodburn, went to her church Sunday morning and heard a very good message on "being a disciple of Christ", had amazing fellowship w/ her Dad, family and friends, ate more good food and drove home Sunday evening w/ her sister and had more awesome fellowship and Worship in that 2 hour car ride there and back.
* After I got home from Lindsey's birthday weekend I got hit w/ the news that My grandpa has cancer and he has 6 months to live. Talk about your world being rocked. I cried uncontrollably for a few hours as my mom, sister, husband and Dad informed me of my Grandpas condition. It is cancer of his bile duct where he has cysts in the duct that they cannot operate, do chemo therapy, or anything else for that matter. He is very precious and has never been sick a day in his life. Litterally, he hasn't! Obviously we're praying Gods will and believe in this. But it is very hard to know that someone that special to you only has a bit more time with you. He doesn't feel sick or hurt either. He seems to be doing very well now that he's home w/ his wife (my grandma).

God is incontroll and I can trust in Him/that! God is also very good, as we all know. He is leading me and Jonathan and we're following. He's also answering prayers left and right. I know this year he has more amazing things in store which we are now in the home stretch for planning.
I'll try and keep you updated on the "lessons" I want to take. Soon, very soon. :)
